Joint analysis of fast timing and spectral behavior in neutron star low-mass x-ray binaries should be a good tool to probe the properties of the neutron star as well as the its accretion mechanisms. We present results from two joint observations of the atoll source 4U 0614+091, done with RXTE/BeppoSAX and RXTE/ASCA in October 1998. We also present results from BeppoSAX on the hard x-ray spectrum.
