Hardware and software facilities have been developed for processing spectroscopic and photometric imagery generated by the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste. The development programs, initiated in 1976, include print and color video terminals for graphical representations, and read/write capabilities adapted to standard support equipment. The interactive video processor (512 x 512 format) has given good results for a variety of graphical representation problems, including pseudocolor techniques. Read/write programs, file handling programs, graphical representation programs, bidimensional Fast Fourier Transform filtering programs, and programs for the rejection of impulsive noise are currently in use.
