Spectral distributions and some statistical relations among the brightness differences and composite spectra of 394 components of 197 visual binaries are analyzed. The spectral distribution of binaries with two main-sequence components is determined, and properties of the composite spectra of these systems are examined. Statistical relations between the components of systems containing at least one post-main-sequence component are discussed.
