Observations of the luminous late B star No. 12 in the Cygnus OB2 Association, and of the B7 Ia star HD 183143 are presented. The classification of No. 12 as B8 Ia is confirmed. Evidence is found for spectral and radial velocity variability, consistent with No. 12 being a very luminous star undergoing mass loss and a bona fide member of the association. Possible duplicity is pointed out. A sharp absorption feature at wavelength of 6532 A, sometimes present in the spectrum of No. 12, remains unidentified.
