Scientific paper

We have observed spectroscopically all seven white dwarf candidates found by Romanishin & Angel (1980) in the galactic cluster NGC 6633. One of these (No. 5) might be a DA white dwarf, but our observations are not good enough for a quantitative analysis and to discuss cluster membership. No. 6 is a DB/DC white dwarf - the first helium-rich object found in our study of clusters. However, this object is too bright to be a cluster member and must be a foreground object. The remaining 5 objects are O and B subdwarfs.
