A brief description is presented for a computing system (CS) MONSTER ("Monitor System for Transfer of Electromagnetic Radiation"), intended for numerical simulation of radiative gas dynamic problems and for creation of spectral optical models of hot gases and plasmas for aerospace application. The optical models can be created for temperatures T = 300-20,000K or T = 20,000-120,000K, for pressures p up to 1000 atm and for wavenumbers at the range 1000-500,000 cm-1. At present the CS MONSTER is provided with spectroscopic information and numerical simulation models for gas and plasma mixtures containing the following chemical elements: H, He, C, N, O, Si, Ar, Na, Mg, Al, K, Ca. Examples of different kinds of optical models are presented.
