A space laboratory for measuring gamma ray radiation called INTEGRAL will be launched in 2001. It is hoped that its new observational data will help the understanding of gamma bursts, of galactic active nuclei, of supernovae and of interstellar medium. The staff of the N. Copernicus Astronomical Center and of the Space Research Center are actively working to prepare this experiment.
