Improved numerical simulations and analytical calculations are presented for gas dynamic shock waves, occurring in a relatively cool and dusty nebular environment, which will allow more detailed comparisons with meteoritic constraints. Simulations conducted for the case of a 1D, optically thick dust cloud indicate that radiative cooling times of the order of hours are possible.
