We present observations of 24 BL Lacertae objects with the 10-m Whipple Observatory Gamma-Ray Telescope between 1995 and 1999. The observed objects are mostly at low redshift (z < 0.2) but some observations of objects with z up to 0.444 are also reported. Five of the objects are EGRET sources and three are unconfirmed TeV sources. A search was made for significant excesses on time scales of days, months, and years. We report 99.9% confidence level flux upper limits for the objects for each observing season and compare these to the observed fluxes of the confirmed TeV sources, Markarian 421 and Markarian 501. This research is supported by grants from the U. S. Department of Energy, by PPARC in the UK and by Forbairt in Ireland.
