Measurements of the composition of the Martian atmosphere by Viking and especially by analyses of the gases from the SNC meteorites have revealed a remarkable similarity in the noble gases on Mars and Earth. Given the intrinsic differences between these two planets this similarity raises the possibility of a common external source. Krypton from Earth's mantle also points in this direction. Meteorites and the solar wind are not candidates. This leaves comets which are currently appealing for another reason: The uniform value of D/H in sheltered water on Mars, water on the moon, and ice throughout the outer solar system. Implications of this perspective for delivery of planetary volatiles, including the suggestion that main Belt Comets may be the source of Earth's water, will be discussed.
