The aims, achievements and plans of the Working Group on `Radioastronomical Databases' of IAU Commission 40 are outlined. Special recommendations emerged from its present first meeting. These regard the electronic availability of published tabular data, the educational needs to prepare for the age of `Network Astronomy', the preparation of a master index of all machine-readable astronomical catalogues, and the nomenclature of radio sources. Current on-line search facilities for radio-source data are reviewed.
