New and highly accurate laboratory measurements at temperatures and pressures relevant to the atmospheres of the Jovian planets have been performed on the thermal infrared spectral lines of acetylene and ethylene. The measurements of line strengths, hydrogen- and helium- broadened linewidths and of their temperature dependence have been measured using a cryogenically-cooled absorption cell and a high-resolution Fourier-transform spectrometer. Our reults are compared with the data that have been previously published by us and others. Particular emphasis has been placed on the absorption features belonging to the so-called "hot bands" and isotopic (C-13)features.
