Space Instrumentation: Computer Simulations
Scientific paper
Facilities have been developed for simulating a star sensor of the Oreol-3 type for determining the triaxial orientation of a space vehicle stabilized by twisting. A simulator of the star sensor, consisting of software and hardware, has been developed. This system is capable of the following: 1) simulating single- and three-slit sensors, 2) simulating twisting of the vehicle with various twisting poles, and 3) simulating various features of the rotation of the vehicle observed for the Prognoz-1 spacecraft.
