Our group is engaged since 1999 in a wide survey for TNOs. Our observing strategy is optimized to be sensitive to very slow/distant objects. This program was awarded 36nights on the ESO/MPI 2.2m telescope at La Silla, equipped with a 8x8k CCD mosaic. A pilot project for this survey was presented at the last DPS meeting (Delsanti et al DPS 31, 26.03) This paper will present a status report on this project, at ~ 30% completion level. We will also describe the progress and efficiency of the TNO automatic detection programs used for this project.
