Progress achieved within the B experimental division from Oct. 1989 to Sep. 1990 is reported on the following themes: the ALEPH experiment, the ALEPH minivertex detector, the High Energy Gamma Ray Astronomy (HEGRA) experiment, semiconductor detectors and microelectronics, calorimeter improvement and particle identification, drift velocity in electrical and magnetic fields, and the production and dissociation of particles with the charm quantum number.
