PQ Vel is known as an eccentric eclipsing binary of type EA. By fitting
a synthetic light curve to the observations unknown parameters of the system
have been evaluated, and the secondary component identified as F-type dwarf.
The A-type giant mass has been estimated at 2.8 solar masses. The english
version of the article will be found behind the german version.
