The authors present the status of their X-ray study of a large sample of radio-loud AGN. It resulted from the cross-correlation of the ROSAT All-Sky Survey with large radio catalogues and contain ≡3700 sources. The radio and optical follow-up observations are briefly outlined and first results are highlighted. The work on another complete sample of radio-loud AGN is summarized.
