The authors consider spherically symmetric accretion onto a point mass
from an initially homogeneous, uniformly outflowing medium using a
Newtonian, one-dimensional Lagrangian code. As one application, they
discuss the fall-back of initially expanding gas onto the compact
remnant in the core of a Type II supernova.
