The multifrequency VLA observations of NGC 1265 presented by O'Dea and Owen are consistent with and are discussed within the context of current quasi-continuous beam models for narrow-angle tail radio sources. An interpretation of the polarization data is given and the possible geometry of the magnetic field in the jets is discussed. The radio data are combined with existing optical and X-ray observations to constrain the properties of a possible interstellar medium in NGC 1265. Constraints on the beam Mach number are explored. The nature of the diffuse steep spectrum cocoon around the jets is discussed and possible models for its inferred tangled magnetic field are explored. Possible models for the wiggles in the jets are examined and the impact of the jet pressure and collimation data on the possible physics of the beams is discussed. The need for either in situ particle reacceleration or deceleration of the beam is studied.
