A precise value of the right ascension of the radio star α Scorpii A has been determined in the FK4 system with a Danjon astrolabe at Santiago, Chile. The results obtained during two periods of observations are fairly consistent, and are coincident with those obtained with a Danjon astrolabe at Valinhos, Brasil and radio results obtained with the VLA. The astrolabe and VLA observations have mean epochs between 1982 and 1985.4.
