The number of stars (N) in ɛ Lyrae-type hierarchical stellar
systems is limited by the tidal action of the regular gravitational
field of the Galaxy and stochastic encounters with giant molecular
clouds. The existence of the systems with N = 256 - 512 is possible. But
really the discovery of the systems with N ≤ 16 can be expected.
