General Relativity: Time
Scientific paper
The authors postulate that an independent time flow cannot be measured. Hence, time intervals (as measured by a clock) are only a set of numbers that are related to a physical variable defined by another set of numbers. The physical relationship between the two sets are then defined by the law of physics that relates these quantities. In kinematics, it is the law of gravitation that defines the relationship between space and time intervals. The authors show that by this postulate one can easily predict, equally well, the major observational results that are given in support of general relativity.
