Dust in AGN host galaxies is heated by the AGN and stars. The relative contribution of the heating mechanisms is still under debate. We have investigated the optical to MIR SEDs of 3C AGNs. These SEDs reveal the presence of significant amounts of both hot and cold dust. We find a highly significant correlation between the overall shape of the spectral energy distribution, emission from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and the type of AGN. Comparison with radiative transfer models show that dust heating by only the AGN suffices to explain these trends.
