Examining the radio continuum properties of ≡200 nearby non-cluster spirals, the authors have found that the radio continuum emission (per unit light) of spirals is (a little) linked to their colour indices (U-B)0T and (more closely) to their Hα emission strengths, but not to indices of H I content. There appears to be no dependence of the radio power of the spiral members of galaxy groups on the group compactness. However, within a sample of interacting spirals, enhanced radio emission is observed in the most strongly interacting systems.
