The possibility of the generation of fast and slow magnetosonic waves in a region of developed Langmuir turbulence is investigated. The generation mechanism involves the dependence of the high-frequency source of Joule heating and striction force on the magnetic field intensity and plasma density. The effect is more prevalent in high-pressure plasma such as that of the solar and stellar active regions where energetic particles escape and quasi-periodic pulsations of flare loops may be associated with magnetosonic waves.
