Parameters of stellar systems with a central massive black hole are found in the case of a density peak formation around a hole due to the collective interactions of stars. The existence of such a density peak can lead to evolutionary expansion and 'freezing' of stellar systems which are of the normal galactic type with a 'dead' quasar in the center. Conversely, the most natural conditions for active galactic nuclei are such that the density peak does not exist and the central stellar systems shrink without limit. In the final stages of this compression, the luminosity of the black hole is near that of the Eddington value and is provided for the accretion of gas which has been released during the collision of stars in the system.
