Results of four-color photometry of the two distant galactic clusters Abell 370 (z = 0.37) and Cl 2244-02 (z = 0.33) are presented in light of the potential importance of the color distributions of distant clusters to studies of cluster evolution. Observations were made with the Princeton CCD spectrometer-imager at passbands centered at 5500, 6500, 7500 and 8500 A. The mean colors for 26 objects in Abell 370 are close to those expected of unevolved elliptical galaxies with the exception of the 7500-8500 color index, which exhibits a significant spread. Colors measured for 10 objects in Cl 2244-02 are consistent with the hypothesis that all objects are cluster ellipticals. The distributions of 5500-7500 colors for both clusters are similar to that observed by Butcher and Oemler (1978) for Cl 0024+1654.
