Results of a statistical investigation are presented showing that quasars close on the sky to bright galaxies show a stronger tendency to group around certain redshifts than do quasars in general. These particular redshifts form a series with a distance between consecutive peaks of 0.089 in log(1+z) (the matematical solution discovered by Karlsson, 1971, 1973, 1977). The difference between quasars close to nearby galaxies and other quasars was found to persist when different samples of QSOs close to galaxies were compared to their respective 'parent populations' (i.e., all known quasars found by the same method). It is concluded that there might exist different types of quasars.
