Two techniques, spectroscopy and stellar interferometry, developed separately are combined to give a spatio-spectral analysis in the infrared, called multispectral interferometry. A stellar interferometer which operates in the 2-12-micron spectral range was developed. The technique used allows measurement of the fringe visibility at all wavelengths in a given spectral range. The principle of this technique is given, and the instrument used and first results obtained are presented.
