Exact analytical expressions for the scattering phase matrix are presented for various models of a turbulent magnetic field having a symmetry axis in the solar atmosphere. The polarization of the scattered radiation in the plane of the scattering is shown to be virtually independent of the predominant direction of the turbulent magnetic field. The Hanle effect does not operate in a longitudinal magnetic field normal to the surface of the atmosphere, since the phase matrix has the form of a resonance phase matrix with zero magnetic field.
