We have identified a site at an elevation of 3,900 meters on the Barcroft Plateau in the White Mountains of California which would be a good site for C̆erenkov γ-ray astronomy. The atmospheric conditions are conducive. There is ample infrastructure. And the site is large enough to accommodate an array of telescopes which at this altitude is expected to provide impressive performance.
