We present a study into the rotation and magnetic activity of the young (60-100 Myr), nearby (250 pc) open cluster Blanco 1, combining recently published spectroscopic and X-ray datasets. We use new V sin i and X-ray luminosity measurements, in addition to a recently completed standardized BVIc CCD survey, to probe how fundamental stellar parameters, such as X-ray emission and rotation rate, change as a function of mass in Blanco 1. Comparing our new analysis with the existing rotation-activity distributions for other open clusters, we investigate the age-dependence of angular momentum and magnetic activity among early epoch (<1 Gyr) solar-type stars, and more specifically, how Blanco 1 agrees or disagrees with the age-rotation-activity paradigm at 100 Myr.
