We present measurement of the Galactic Ridge diffuse X-ray emission from 2-60 keV with RXTE. A bright, unresolved emission extending to at least +/- 40(o) in galactic longitude and +/- 1(o) in galactic latitude is clearly detected, confirming results from previous missions (e.g. Ginga, EXOSAT, ASCA). We report on the spatial variation of the extended emission and its scale height in various energy bands. We will also present spectral measurements of the ridge and discuss the spectral connection to higher energy bands. Finally, we speculate on possible scenarios for the origin of the emission.
