Recent observations near 2 microns of 3C 120, NGC 1275, and III Zw 2 support previous evidence that the fluxes from this type of source are not subject to near-infrared variations on the shortest time scales observed in the optical and radio. However, comparison with previous measurements indicates that 3C 120 has faded by nearly a factor of 2 over the past 8 years.
