The new sensitive 18 cm receiver of the Nancay radio-telescope has been used to study fourteen OH infrared sources: six CRL objects and eight new OH infrared stars (seven giants and one supergiant). Three CRL objects are strong new Type II OH sources and seven of the new OH infrared stars are main line OH emitters. The correlation of the OH radial velocity pattern and stellar period is reinvestigated for a homogeneous sample of 30 long period variable stars. The significance of the observed correlation is briefly discussed.
