It is found that the parameters of the radial velocity curve of AC211, the optical counterpart of the M15 X-ray source (4U2127+11), have not changed significantly between observations spaced approximately 1 yr apart, thus confirming that this object shows a large blueshift with respect to the cluster. The constancy of the gamma velocity is consistent with the dynamical explanation of Naylor et al. (1988), but makes it possible to rule out, with a high degree of confidence, the 'SU UMa' explanation of the velocity shift, suggested by the same authors. A more accurate spectroscopic period than previously published, of 8.46 + or - 0.15 hr, is determined.
