The Z-geodynamo model with viscous and magnetic friction between the core and the mantle is extended to account for the internal core. Stationary solutions are obtained for the dynamo model for various internal-core boundary conditions. An oscillating solution is also obtained, and used (through a comparison with paleomagnetic data on geomagnetic dipole oscillations over the past 10,000 years) is used to estimate the electroconductivity of the core.
