A new method for finding hitherto unknown Seyferts based on their midinfrared spectra is presented. Data from IRAS are used to show that this method has a success rate of about 70 percent. One Seyfert so discovered contains the most luminous infrared nucleus known so far. It is suggested that 'infrared' Seyferts may soon outnumber those detected by other methods.
