The expedition to observe the total solar eclipse in Brazil on November
3, 1994 was arranged by the Slovak Central Observatory, Hurbanovo
(Slovak Republic). The circumstances of the eclipse, planned
experiments, instruments, scientific goals, observations and some
preliminary results are described and discussed.
