A parameter study of N-body simulations of cluster and supercluster relaxation is presented. Ellipsoidal protoclusters lead to ellipsoidal clusters, whilst flat 'pancakes' can only be associated with supercluster scales. Poor clusters may have less obvious cores than rich, with irregular outer structure and the possible formation of bound, orbiting subgroups. A new scheme for fitting the spatial distribution is used to show its variation with relaxation route. The sensitivity of final cluster parameters to relaxation route gives encouragement that detailed simulations allowing for stripping will be able to provide a 'best bet' evolutionary scheme.
