The results of the 1986 campaigns of solar position observations are reported. Observations were made at nine zenith distances. For all the measurements obtained in 1986 (totalling 230 complete sun crossings), the following mean value for right ascension was obtained: 0.015 + or - 0.004. Reductions were made in the new 1984 IAU constants system and the VSOP 82 sun theory.
