An analysis is carried out of the two-point spatial correlation function for galaxies with different luminosities. Galaxies from the CfA redshift survey are divided into subsamples in absolute magnitude intervals ranging from - 18.5 to - 22.5. The pair autocorrelation and cross-correlation functions exhibit significant differences. The functions still can be fitted to a power law quite well, but different luminosity intervals yield different correlation strengths. There is also a (weaker) indication of different slopes of log zeta vs. r for different luminosity intervals. Generally, it is found that the brighter galaxies have a larger correlation strength and a steeper slope. Implications for scenarios of galaxy formation are pointed out.
