Data on SN 1987A asymmetry are reviewed and summarized in the statement that its asphericity is caused by bipolar 56Ni ejecta with asymmetric jets. I present convincing evidence that in normal type IIP supernovae we also see the asymmetry caused by asymmetric bipolar 56Ni jets. Yet a significant fraction of 56Ni resides in the central symmetric component. The major conclusion is that the violation of the point symmetry is a generic property of the SN IIP explosion mechanism.
