Eleven samples of the Mbale meteorite shower (August 4, 1992) have been analyzed for the cosmogenic radionuclides Al-26, Co-57,60, Mn-54, and Na-22 by Ge-gamma-spectrometry. According to their Co-60 activity as a depth/size indicator, they cover a shielding depth range from nearly below the surface to the center of an R greater than or equal to 30 cm meteoroid. The thus obtained production rate profiles are compared to existing model calculations. The influence of solar cycle variation and the deviation from a spherical geometry are discussed. Correlation of shielding depth and location in the shower fall area is investigated. Earlier measurements of shorter-living cosmogenic nuclides in the same meteorite allow us to extend the investigated systematics to these nuclides also.
