We propose to take brief exposures with the FOS Prism at the end of each primary FOS observation of a quasar, AGN, or BL Lac. These exposures would be made during the unused target visibility period at the end of an observation, and would make use of the targets already acquired for the primary observation. The scientific results of this program would be a large (~50 objects), uniformly observed database for the study of the optical to ultraviolet continuum shapes of quasars. The ability to get the optical and ultraviolet energy distributions together in a single exposure avoids uncertainties caused by target variability and instrumental cross-calibration. The FOS Prism is the only instrument which can obtain such information, and its limited spectral resolution is sufficient to compare the results with models for the continuum spectrum.
