The Large Binocular Telescope, comprising two 8.4 m mirrors spaced 14.4
m between centers on a single altazimuth mount, will allow further
experience with nulling interferometry on a large scale. The housing on
Mt Graham, Arizona, is ready to receive the telescope structure, which
has been prefabricated in Italy.
