A series of recommendations related to the issue of how to preserve astronomy's significant photographic observations resulted from the Workshop on a National Plan for Preserving Astronomical Photographic Data held in November 2007. The progress that has been made on implementing the recommendations as of June 2009 is presented. Suggestions for the next steps that should be taken are given.
