In spite of the presence of cirrus over the observatory the authors obtained several timings for the occultation of the star Hyd -20°.51699 by the main Uranus rings in April 22, 1982, using a pulse counting photometer with 100 ms integration times through a combination of an RCA C 31034 photomultiplier and 1 mm of UG 6 filter attached to the Brazilian 1.60 m telescope at Brasópolis (λ = 45°34arcmin57arcsec.6, φ = -22°32arcmin04arcsec.0, h = 1870 m).
