The All-Sky Monitor on the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer has been operating on a nearly continuous basis since late February 1996. The results from the ASM have yielded detections for about 60 sources at a sensitivity of 10 mCrab (2 - 12 keV) in daily averages. These results have been compiled into light curves, and, for the brighter sources, plots of the temporal variation of two hardness ratios. We categorize the variability of the detected sources and illustrate the categories with selected light curves and hardness ratio plots. While some sources exhibit strong and relatively constant intensities, others exhibit flaring behavior, transient behavior, binary orbit eclipses, disk-precession-like quasi-periodicities, other long-term periodicities, or high-amplitude apparently random variability.
