The isolated, edge-on, galaxy NGC 3044 was observed in the HI. The HI velocity and spatial distributions are found to be asymmetric. An HI supershell which rises to about 5 kpc above the galactic plane was found amongst a host of vertical HI features. In this paper, we shall present evidence for the HI asymmetry and the supershell. We will also present the energy estimates and timescales for the supershell. Due to the absence of nearby companions, the evidence suggests that these supershells are internally generated.
